Re-View can use virtually any type of wood in the fabrication of its historic wood windows, but there are certain species that have proven characteristics that make them preferable to the demands of the elements. Our engineers prefer to use the following species of wood for our custom windows:

AFRICAN MAHOGANY – This wood has excellent durability and is readily available.

HONDURAS MAHOGANY – Genuine Mahogany is outstanding for window fabrication.

SPANISH CEDAR – This wood displays outstanding durability characteristics.

DOUGLAS FIR – Fir is a beautiful straight grained wood.

YELLOW PINE – This wood is very popular for the use of wood windows.

CYPRESS – The durability of Cypress makes it an excellent lumber for windows.

LAMINATED WOODS – Re-View can laminate virtually any woods to accommodate any interior species desired.
