Southern Pacific Depot
Re-View restored both the 78 historic wood windows and 17 steel windows on this depot in Stockton, California. The monumental steel windows were completely removed and shipped to our facility. The steel was blasted to remove all oxidation and new parts were welded by our craftsment to replace missing or deteriorated sections. Rust-inhibitive finishes were applied so the resulting product has the same integrity and appearance as when they were first installed. The wood window restoration included lead-based paint removal from both the sash and the window frames. Re-View manufactured historically correct replacement sash and sash parts to repair others that were too deteriorated to restore. We replicated hardware to replace the missing originals, new chains were installed on the double hung windows, and the original weights were re-used to balance the sash.
