Framingham is famous for the Dennison Manufacturing Company, which was founded in 1844 as a jewelry and watch box manufacturing company by Aaron Lufkin Dennison who became the pioneer of the American system of watch manufacturing at the nearby Waltham Watch Company. His brother, Eliphalet Whorf Dennison developed the company into a sizable industrial complex, which merged in 1990 into the Avery Dennison Company with headquarters in Pasadena, California and active corporate offices in the town. Rosewood Companies have spent the past five years developing the four buildings into a multi-use residential/commercial complex.

Building 4 presented some interesting challenges for the Re-View team. Most of the window openings are 20 feet wide by almost 10 feet tall. Our engineering team drafted a design of a monumental single frame for these large openings. A single frame eliminates the problems of multiple joints and mullion connections that can enable water intrusion. This more modern approach to fenestration design was implemented in a way to include all of the historic elements desired for the project.
The Building 4 project was on a fast track for completion. The client already had a tenant for the office space so every month in construction delays meant lost revenue. Re-View was able to fabricate all 421 window openings within an eight week time frame.
