PROJECT NAME Rush County Courthouse
PROJECT LOCATION LaCrosse, Kansas
PROJECT ARCHITECT B.G. Consultants
PROJECT GENERAL CONTRACTOR Re-View
NUMBER OF WINDOWS 31
SCOPE OF WORK Phase 1 of this project included lead paint abatement, sill, sash, frame, and trim restoration. Stained glass restoration in transom windows.
The Rush County Courthouse was constructed in 1888 following a "tug-of-war" for the county seat. The building is now listed in the National Register of Historical Places. The first phases of a restoration project have been recently completed. Dedication of the newly renovated second floor courtroom was held last spring. Windows on the first floor were restored with assistance of a Preservation Trust Grant through the Kansas State Historical Society. Restoration of offices on the second floor is now under way.

Re-View performed a complete restoration of the windows in Phase 1 including a stripping of all interior finishes to remove years of deteriorated finish. Re-View stained the restored interior millwork to return the windows to their original luster.
