The President Hotel has been a downtown landmark since it opened in 1926. Its nightclub, the Drum Room, and its historic public rooms, including the Aztec Room, were popular gathering spots and will be restored. The east side of the hotel will be reconfigured to create a second entrance facing the new Kansas City Live entertainment district. The building has been empty since 1980.
This picture documents the magnitude of this project. Re-View is restoring the historic windows on the lower three levels and the penthouse. The intermediate floors will have Traco aluminum replacements for budgetary, thermal, and STC considerations.

Re-View is conducting a multi-faceted restoration of the facility with wood window replication with new lead caming glazing and steel window restoration. The intermediate floors will be replaced with Traco aluminum windows with historic profiles. Re-View will restore the steel doors on the upper penthouse to its original luster.

The lower levels of the President Hotel are decorated in highly ornate terra cotta.
