The
New York Life Building was the tallest skyscraper in Kansas
City when it was built. This 13-story structure had been a home
to vagrants for many years until it was purchased to become

| This
project called for replacing all windows in the structure with
historic wood replications equipped with high-performance insulated
glass. Newly fabricated wood window replicas with insulated
glass were installed in the existing openings. These new units
were pre-finished prior to installation and trimmed with pre-finished
millwork. The decorative exterior brick mould and mullion covers
were restored and reapplied to the new window units. |
