Historic
Window Replacment, Historic Door Replication |
|
Re-View installed this mock up to be evaluated by the architects,
general contractor, owner, and Shippo. We utilize mockups on
all of our projects to gain approval of all finished details
and establish an accepted level of performance. |
 |
Re-View
was contracted to replace the historic windows and fabricate historic
door replications in an old abandoned freight house connected to
Union Station. The windows are being unitized in the Re-View plant
to make for a more efficient installation on site. Re-View is replicating
the historic freight house doors in its manufacturing facility.
The main location for the Kansas City Post Office will occupy the
facility when it is completed.

This picture captures one elevation of the freight house showing
the magnitude of window and door openings. |
 |
 |
Re-View manufactured 67 doors like this one. The doors had a laminated core to prevent warping and were true mortise and tenon style joinery. |
