Jewell Hall is the 108 year-old structure that was the first building on the campus of the William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri. Since this landmark had such critical importance to the college, Re-View was called in to perform the window work.

PROJECT NAME Jewell Hall
PROJECT LOCATION Liberty, Missouri
PROJECT ARCHITECT Hollis & Miller
PROJECT GENERAL CONTRACTOR J.E. Dunn Construction
NUMBER OF WINDOWS 136
SCOPE OF WORK Frame Restoration, Sash Replication, Window Installation, Lead-Paint Abatement, Window Finishing

Since the objective of the college was to upgrade the energy efficiency and functionality of the existing windows, Re-View had the sash replicated with insulated glass units. We used a special Low E glass that has a historically approved visual light reflectance. The double hung windows on this project are 5'0" by 10'0" with a fully operable, weight-balanced lower sash.

Re-View provided new weights to compensate for the additional weight of the insulated glass. Re-View hung the new sash in the original frames that were restored by our craftsmen.
