This
stunning red sandstone and granite Romanesque Revival building
with a massive tower was originally finished in 1896. Designed
by J. Riely Gordon, it is a national Register Property with
many interesting stories from its past.
Re-View contracted to restore the existing windows systems.
The existing windows included 62 radius double hung units where
the original curved glass had been replaced with flat glass
over the years.
Re-View had to reconstruct these sash and provide new radius
glass to reproduce the originals. Many of the window components
were too deteriorated to preserve and had to be manufactured
from recycled old-growth yellow pine. The Re-View team removed
all paint and oxidation from the existing hardware and had it
plated in the original copper finish.
