Re-View has become experts in historic window
hardware. If we cannot find it for you, we can make it.
Rarely
have we performed a window restoration project where the existing
hardware was 100% in tact. Invariably, lifts are missing and locks
are damaged beyond repair. In some cases, someone has discovered
that the hardware is brass and has stripped the windows clean to
get pocket change from a recycler. Because of these realities, the
Re-View team has developed alliances with a dozen hardware manufacturers
across the country so we can either find a piece that closely matches
the original or have a casting made to fabricate an exact replication.
Our hardware
resources are quite extensive. We have access to the following types
of hardware:

Historic
Casement Windows

Historic
Double Hung Windows

Custom
Castings
In those cases where an exact match is required and the budget permits,
Re-View can use the original hardware to develop a cast for creating
exact replications of the historic hardware. Although this process
takes time and money to complete, it is the ultimate in matching
the original historical fabric of the project.
Standardized
Window Hardware
The Re-View team also runs across basic projects that have had
a multitude of different window hardware applied to the windows
over the past 100 years to the point where nothing really matches.
Often the maintenance people have used locks purchased at the
local hardware store to replace the originals. |

The Re-View
team can recommend inexpensive alternatives for brass window hardware
that can provide a consistent historic look without busting the
budget. This new hardware gives you a crisp historic look and long-term
functionality while it maintains the character of the original windows.
