Chase County
Since the courthouse was occupied during the restoration, Re-View constructed temporary enclosures of plywood and Lexan view panels to allow daylight into the functioning offices and our workers took extra care to provide minimal disruption of the daily productivity of the staff. The sash were removed and brought to our restoration facility where they were meticulously restored and the original glass was putty glazed back into the restored sash. Adherence to specific historic preservation techniques, as prescribed by the U.S. Department of Interior, were required in this project. We restored 88 wood windows and six doors, performing all lead-paint abatement, field restoration of the window frames, shop restoration of the sash, hardware refurbishment, field installation, and field painting.
